Harley Davidson, Can-Am Spyder, sport bikes, and trikes — towed safely across Katy, Brookshire, and the surrounding area by drivers who know what they are doing.
Motorcycle Towing Is Not Like Car Towing
Every motorcycle and trike owner knows their bike is not just transportation — it is an investment, a passion, and sometimes a lifeline. When it breaks down, the last thing you want is an inexperienced driver throwing a chain around your frame and dragging it onto a flatbed without a second thought.
Motorcycle towing requires specific equipment, a specific approach, and a driver who has actually done it before. Rescue Towing Group LLC has transported Harley Davidson cruisers, Can-Am Spyder three-wheelers, sport bikes, touring motorcycles, and custom builds across Katy, Brookshire, and the surrounding areas.

Why Most Tow Companies Get Motorcycle Loading Wrong
The single biggest mistake untrained tow drivers make with motorcycles is using the wrong tie-down points and the wrong straps. Standard cargo straps with metal hooks can scratch chrome, damage fairings, and create pressure points on the frame that cause stress fractures over time.
The second most common mistake is incorrect strap angle. Straps applied at the wrong angle allow the motorcycle to rock and shift during transport, which can cause it to tip even when the straps appear tight.
What Bad Motorcycle Towing Looks Like
Metal hooks against chrome or painted surfaces. Straps across the fuel tank or seat. A single strap at the front with nothing at the rear. A driver who has to ask where to attach the tie-downs. These are all warning signs.
If a tow driver approaches your motorcycle without wheel chocks or a motorcycle-specific stand, do not allow them to load it. Contact Rescue Towing Group for a driver who knows what they are doing.
How We Load Your Motorcycle
Position the Wheel Chock
We use a motorcycle wheel chock to hold the front wheel securely in place while loading. This prevents the bike from shifting side to side during the loading process.
Soft Loop Straps at the Forks or Handlebars
We attach soft loop tie-down straps to the front forks or handlebars — never to painted surfaces, cables, or brake lines. Soft loops eliminate metal-on-chrome contact entirely.
Compress the Front Suspension
We tighten the front straps until the front forks are slightly compressed. This technique prevents the motorcycle from bouncing on the flatbed during transport.
Secure Rear Attachment Points
Rear straps are attached at the frame or subframe, again using soft loops. The bike is held upright from four points — front left, front right, rear left, rear right.
Final Check and Departure
We inspect all four strap points, verify the wheel chock is locked, and confirm the bike is upright and stable before moving. We travel at appropriate speeds to minimize any movement during transport.
Can-Am Spyder Towing — What Makes It Different
The Can-Am Spyder and Ryker are not motorcycles in the traditional sense — they are reverse trikes with two wheels in the front and one in the back. This configuration creates unique towing challenges that most drivers have never dealt with.
The wide front track of the Spyder means standard motorcycle wheel chocks do not fit correctly. The Spyder also sits lower than most motorcycles, requiring careful approach angles when driving onto the flatbed ramp. Rescue Towing Group has experience towing Can-Am Spyder vehicles across Katy, and Brookshire and knows the correct procedure for all models.
